Welcome to KPITB
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board is a public sector autonomous organization established under an Act of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly in May 2011 for the promotion of Information Technology, Information Technology enabled services and Information Technology enabled education for private sector of the Province of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the youngest of all provinces of Pakistan with 73.8% of its population under the age of 29 years. Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa is also undergoing a digital transformation, with rapidly expanding mobile and internet connections. The digital transformation—particularly for employment opportunities– provides the ideal entry point to capitalize on youth aspirations, promote their inclusion, and support their economic empowerment.
The ICT industry’s job creation potential is immense—rapid advancements in digital technologies and online connectivity have accelerated domestic technology entrepreneurship and created linkages for youth to global markets through online outsourcing and freelancing. But, the benefits of ICTs are not limited to economic development—ICTs also enable a wide range of opportunities for social development, including improved access to education, communication, public services, banking, healthcare and employment.
As an autonomous body—with a mandate to work across the public and private sectors—the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB) is uniquely poised to coordinate the different stakeholders in the province around a common vision: more jobs, better services, and improved governance through ICTs.further details please click on below link
