The U.S. Embassy in Islamabad is seeking an eligible and qualified individual for the position of a Refugee Affairs Specialist in the Refugee Office.

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION The incumbent is the sole Locally Employed Staff (LE) in the Refugees Section. Supports all substantive and administrative aspects of planning and implementing USG humanitarian assistance policy in Pakistan, including: 1) maintaining contacts with international organization and host government officials, and 2) managing and monitoring PRM-funded activities in health, education, gender-based violence, water and sanitation, vocational/livelihoods training, and other sectors.  S/he is responsible for implementing PRM policy on the ground in Pakistan, has responsibility for monitoring and evaluating all PRM-funded assistance projects in country, and liaises very closely with all implementing NGOs, UNHCR, Government of Pakistan contacts, and other missions and international organizations, as required.
